Some R4i Gold 3DS problems

Hi for some time i'm using a R4i Gold 3DS with RTS and using R4 wood kernel.
I'm using the last R4 wood version (V1.62), but some games like Solatorobo Red the hunter and Pokemon Black version 2 for some reason the RTS and In game reset is not working. And Animal Crossing freeze at loading the rom, I tryed another roms but I get the same error.

Are those known issues or do I something wrong?

Hello everyone, I just registered here after finding this website come up alot in my Google searches to try and solve my problem, hopefully by making this thread someone here knows why I'm not being able to upgrade the card.


So I just bought a 2nd hand DSi that came with this R4i card (the one that just says v1.4 without the WiFi logo):

From what I can tell this is a legit card, with Truth Inquiry...

i buy my 3ds in version 11.2.0-35U and i have a R4i renovation v 2.20T and don't work my games... anyone have a software to work my r4 ??? this version is compatible with this r4 ??? Thanks !

it will not work on my Nintendo DS Lite

Okay so I got all the Nintendo DS and 3DS games I want (legit copies) but really want to play GBA on a handheld again. I bought the EZ Flash Vi, it lasted a week and stopped working. So now I want to try the 4Ri Gold but I accidentally purchased the 3DS version so here are my questions.

1. Will the R4i Gold 3DS flash cart work on my DS Lite?
2. Can you play GBA games on it if it does
3. If answer to question 1 is no and question 2 is yes then will I...

Hello! I haven't used my R4 in like 4-5 years, and somehow I found it not working. I tried following guides by RetroGameFan and also tried? finding my kernel online but I don't know if i'm finding the wrong one or if my kernel exists anymore.

Here is a picture for reference. If anyone is able to help I would really appreciate it because i don't want to lose all my progress on all my .SAV files for all my games.

Greetings! My wife has gone through numerous Nintendo DSLs and kept the same CycloDSI Evolution
card for many years. She has a 32GB MicroSD card and all her MP3 music on it, she uses it mainly
for Moonshell and to play music but also uses it for Tetris and other things.

The card finally has died. 8( The DS just sits at a white screen. So I went out looking for a
replacement and it appears to be very hard to find a new CycloDSI Evolution!

I would like to know what the best replacement is or...

Update: I ended up getting a wood-running "dual-core". Actually I got it for free from qubtrash. It seems really good but I'll not have time to thoroughly test it for a while. Thanks everyone who replied!

Some time ago I started the japanese version of Pokemon White on my R4i (DSi/DLS/NDS) and made quite a progress. I now want to tranfer my jap save to my English rom. However, whenever I rename my save file with the name of the eng rom and load it, the fight button disappears and the game crashes. But with the japanese rom and japanese save I can play normally without any problems. Is there any way to transfer my jap save to my eng rom successfully without the fight button glitch?

Hello. Occasional lurker, first time poster here.

Here's my situation; I have an M3 DS Real and an original DS(phat). I want to be able to backup and play my old GBA games but support for the M3 cards was removed from the GBA Backup Tool v0.2 and I need another brand of flash card in order to get my saves.

Here is my dilemma, with so many new cards released since Rudolph stopped developing NDS tools, are any newer cards compatible with GBA Backup Tool 0.21?

Problem with my R4

Hello, I was trying to play Pokémon Black on my old DS and I end up formatting the card with everything in it and didnt backup anything but the games.
After that huge mistake I kept trying to download any numbers of kernels from R4 websites but not even one worked so far, I keep getting a white screen everytime that I turn it on.

What is the right version for it to boot ? There goes a pic of it, thanks in advance guys !
